A Floating Challenge

Following its transfer by Hire Agreement from Doncaster Council in September 2018, the Adams Ark residential community canal boat is now managed by the Friends of Adams Ark, a voluntary  community organisation. 

Adams Ark is presently in Doncaster and available for day cruises on the South Yorkshire waterways navigation system. 

The vessel carries a maximum of 12 persons including the skipper and is equipped with bunk beds, a galley, toilet and shower. Life jackets are provided.

Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust (DCLT) is a charitable organisation that has a proven track record of developing and delivering a  diverse range of Health and Well Being, Leisure, Sport, Cultural and educational/skills programmes and services across the borough of Doncaster. Our mission statement is ‘Striving For Healthier Communities’

DCLT’s 16  venues range from traditional community leisure centres, the award winning Dome, new build school facilities, a training academy  and an outdoor activity centre/campsite.

Flying Futures - Life Lessons

Flying Futures are a non for profit Community Interest Company and supporters of the #iWill campaign. We manage and deliver a range of Social programmes across Yorkshire, the North East and Humberside to bring about effective change to communities.

This is done primarily (though not exclusively) through the use of sports, mentoring, training and employment and citizenship programmes with Children and Young People aged between 5 and 25 years of age.

StreetSmart

The Youth Association has been successfully delivering innovative support for young people since 1904. Our core mission is to grow Yorkshire’s future. They do this by helping young people to;

  • Build confidence and feel proud
  • Identify aspirations and make progress towards achieving them
  • Start a business, get a job or get onto a course
  • Meet new people and make new friends
  • Make decisions and effect change
  • Learn informally, with or without accreditation
