A Floating Challenge

Following its transfer by Hire Agreement from Doncaster Council in September 2018, the Adams Ark residential community canal boat is now managed by the Friends of Adams Ark, a voluntary  community organisation. 

Adams Ark is presently in Doncaster and available for day cruises on the South Yorkshire waterways navigation system. 

The vessel carries a maximum of 12 persons including the skipper and is equipped with bunk beds, a galley, toilet and shower. Life jackets are provided.

Achieve

The Prince’s Trust gives practical and financial support to young people, developing key skills such as confidence, teamwork and motivation.

They work with 11 to 30 year olds across the UK, who are long-term unemployed, have struggled at school, have been in trouble with the law or have grown up in care.

Basketball For All

Danum Eagles/Fundamental Basket Ball Club believe in an all inclusive way of coaching.  Their priority is to get every single young person involved in a positive way to raise each and every player’s level of self esteem, confidence, teamwork skills and overall fitness.

They will make sure that every young person, regardless of ability, will be able to access the sessions, have fun and achieve.

Fundamental Basketball Club is an all inclusive youth basketball club.  We deliver basketball sessions to young people across the whole of Doncaster area.

Commando Joe’s was established in 2009 training veterans as instructors/mentors, to bring about significant change for the most disadvantaged young people.

They are passionate about building life skills, raising attainment, behaviour and attendance in our schools, inspiring young people to achieve their best. ‘No Child Left Behind’ is their founding ethos. They provide school and community based projects offering challenging personal development activities with a military ethos designed to engage young people, build their character, enhance self-discipline and attitude towards others.

Over the past 8 years, more than 380 schools, 175,000 pupils, 3,500 teachers across England have benefited from their innovative teaching methods and our commitment to a sustainable school-led model of positive change.

Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust (DCLT) is a charitable organisation that has a proven track record of developing and delivering a  diverse range of Health and Well Being, Leisure, Sport, Cultural and educational/skills programmes and services across the borough of Doncaster.
